Learn More About Steamatic of Arkansas

Have a steam cleaning-related question? We have the answer! Check out our FAQs below to learn more about our company and services.

  • What do you charge to clean carpets?

Our prices depend on the type of carpeting you have. Is it a synthetic fiber, a natural fiber, or a blended fiber? We also determine our prices based on the size of your home or space. We can give you a ballpark price over the phone, but our technicians can give you an exact price once they are on-site and measure the areas. Call us today for the carpet cleaning Little Rock, AR counts on.

  • Isn't all carpet cleaning the same?

No, all carpet cleaning is not the same. There are several different methods of carpet cleaning depending on the type. The most common methods are encapsulation cleaning and hot water extraction. The most important thing is the process that is used.

Steamatic of Arkansas uses both encapsulation and hot water (steam) extraction. The Steamatic process sets our company apart from all other companies. We start with a deep pile lifting commercial vacuum cleaner to vacuum all carpet areas to remove dry soil. Next is a detergent pre-spray to loosen grease and grime on the fiber. A soft scrub brushing is used to work the detergent deep into the fibers. Next is the hot water extraction, which is 165 to 220 degrees Fahrenheit depending on the carpet fiber. Then a freshwater rinse is used to remove any detergents left from extraction. Finally, a dry buff is done to speed the drying action on the carpets. We finish off your carpet cleaning in Little Rock, AR with a special grooming tool to allow all fiber to dry standing up.

  • What about spots and stain cleaning?

Spots are cleanable, stains are permanent. Steamatic of Arkansas has special treatments for pet urine and spills such as coffee, tea, and soft drinks. Our technicians are trained to remove even more difficult items like paint spots, wax, and nail polish. Items such as red stains, purple stains, and magic markers are a hit or miss. The success of cleaning any spot depends on age, and if someone has treated the spot previously and been unsuccessful. Call us today for the carpet cleaning Little Rock, AR can trust!

  • Do you recommend carpet protectors?

Yes, we do. Your carpets have a protector applied during manufacturing. Over time, the protector will deteriorate due to traffic, pets, vacuuming, and age. The protector is designed to encapsulate the fibers to prevent spills and stains from penetrating the fiber. The protector also combats the abrasive action of soil that causes wear and fizzing in most carpet fibers.

It is important to recoat those fibers after each carpet cleaning in Little Rock, AR. While there are several brands of protectors available we recommend either 3M Scotchgard or Dupont Teflon. The additional cost of treatment is small in comparison to the replacement cost of new carpets.

  • Do you do carpet stretching?

No, we don't provide this service. Carpet stretching should be performed by professional carpet installers. A good carpet company can refer qualified installers for stretching. If you need the carpet cleaning Little Rock, AR trusts, call us now!
